  • Up to $250,000 accidental death and dismemberment benefit

You choose the amount you want.

  • Hospital Accident Benefit

Three percent of your additional death benefit – up to $7,500 – per month, prorated to a daily basis, for hospitalization lasting more than six days because of a covered accident.  Benefits will be paid retroactive to the first day, for up to a full year, during continued hospitalization.

  • Total Disability Benefit

One percent of your additional death benefit – up to $2,500 – per month, prorated to a daily basis, for total disability lasting more than 12 months because of a covered accident.  Benefits will be paid beginning with the thirteenth month, for up to 25 months, during continued total disability.

  • Up to $500,000 for Accidental Death in a Common Carrier

Double Indemnity for accidental death as a result of riding as a fare-paying passenger in an airplane, train, bus, steamship or other public transportation conveyance.

  • Seat Belt Benefit

Fifty percent additional – up to $375,000 – for accidental death as a result of driving or riding in a private passenger on-road motor vehicle with seat belt fastened.

  • Inflation Fighting Benefit

Every two years, you remain continuously insured, your original benefits are automatically increased 5%, up to a full 25% over the original amount.

  • Optional Family Protection
  • For your spouse:  50% of your benefits.
  • For your children:  20% of your benefits for each unmarried dependent child under age 19 (23 if a full-time student at an accredited school.)

  • If you have no insured children, your spouse’s benefit is 60%.  If you have no spouse, your insured children’s benefit is 25%.
  • College Education Benefit:  2% of your covered death benefit – up to $5,000 – payable for up to four years to each of your covered children who are full-time college students (at least nine credit hours), so long as the child remains in school.

  • Handicapped Child Benefit:  Upon notice, coverage will be extended for physically or mentally handicapped dependent children.
  • Child Care Assistance Benefit:  2% of your death benefit – up to $5,000 – payable for each covered child, aged three months to 14 years, if you die as a result of a covered accident.  Benefits will be paid for up to two years so long as the child is cared for by a licensed child care facility.
  • Spouse Education Benefit:  5% of your death benefit – up to $12,500 – toward actual expenses incurred for your spouse’s occupational training.  The training must conclude within two years of your covered death.
